Wirral Waters not called in

The East Float outline planning application, which forms the centrepiece of The Peel Group's Wirral Waters proposals, has been returned to Wirral Council by the Secretary of State without intervention.

The decision not to call in the largest planning application in the country is hugely significant. It is the culmination of 4 years of masterplanning, engagement and negotiations, and the endorsement of the collaborative and robust approach taken by the project team. Peel is now working with its partners to bring forward funding and delivery mechanisms to allow development to get underway.

The Manchester office of Turley Associates has acted as lead consultant on the project and co-ordinated the preparation and submission of the East Float proposals.
