From the outset of the project we have advised Peel Holdings on the sustainability strategy for its Wirral Waters proposals. In 2009 an outline planning application for the redevelopment of East Float was submitted.

The application was accompanied by a bespoke sustainability strategy reflecting both the large scale and the 30-40 year construction timetable of the scheme. We developed the sustainability strategy in collaboration with the project engineers, the strategy establishes a set of principles and commitments to guide the project through its long delivery period, allowing the required flexibility to respond to evolving policy targets, markets and technologies.

The strategy sets the basis for the development of a low carbon, accessible community that will bring high quality, and much needed, new jobs and homes.
