We advocated a residential led mixed use scheme on behalf of Newbridge Construction Ltd. The project involved working as part of a multidisciplinary team as planning consultant and masterplanner including extensive public consultation to promote and prepare development proposals.

Location: Brizen, Cheltenham
Status: Site promotion and submission of an outline planning application
Size: A 29ha (71acre) greenfield site, which has been promoted for the development of approximately 300 new homes at 40dph, a park and ride site, public open space and community facilities to meet part of South West RSS housing numbers at Cheltenham
Scale: Urban extension

Our work included providing a planning orientated consultation service to enable the promotion of land through the local development framework process, including LDF monitoring and production of LDF representations.

A key element of the project was providing the masterplanning for the scheme to meet the vision of the client team, consultant advice and local authority aspirations. This included extensive public consultation exercises to explain the scheme to local residents and other key stakeholders including meetings, on exhibition and ensuring feedback to key stakeholders.
