Permission secured for Hampshire's first brain injury clinic

Planning and urban design consultancy Turley Associates has secured planning permission for Hampshire's first dedicated brain injury clinic.

Permission for the clinic, to be managed by private healthcare provider Dolphin Care Limited, was given by Test Valley Borough Council on 22 December. The 12 bed clinic will be located in North Baddersley in the Test Valley close to Southampton.

Rachel Lamb, a Senior Planner in the Southampton office of Turley Associates said: "We are delighted with this decision. The closest specialist brain injury unit is in Wiltshire and there is a real need for a dedicated clinic in the county."

Construction of the Dolphin Care brain injury clinic is expected to begin in April 2012, with the clinic opened by December 2012.
