Planning and Urban Design advice in connection with four infill dwellings

Turley Associates’ Role:

  • Planning and townscape appraisal of the site and its wider context in order to develop an Urban Design Framework for new development
  • Collaboration with KSR Architects to develop an appropriate design response to mediate between the existing 1960s houses on the Field View Estate and the more traditional Edwardian character of Derby Road
  • Pre-application consultation with the LPA regarding planning, design, highways and arboricultural issues 
  • Preparation and submission of planning application 
  • Negotiations with Reading Borough Council
  • Full assessment of previous refusals and recommendations on strategy

Results:

  • Planning permission granted within eight weeks
