Turley Associates’ Role:

  • Planning strategy advice and team co-ordination
  • Management of extensive community consultation and stakeholder involvement process
  • Inputs to scheme design
  • Inputs to environmental impact assessment and non-technical summary
  • Extensive pre-application discussions with LPA and consultees
  • Preparation of detailed planning application and full supporting information
  • Presentation to Council Planning Committee
  • Drafting of legal agreement
  • Negotiation of Planning Conditions

Results:

  • Detailed Planning permission granted avoiding the need for inquiry and/or call-in
  • Development due to commence on site in 2007/08
  • Production of 110,000 tonnes of bio-ethanol from wheat, 140,000 tonnes of animal feed and 100,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum
  • IPPC permit application in preparation
