Co-ordination of a draft masterplan for expansion of the Airport’s passenger terminal and cargo capacity and permission obtained for new Airport hotel and multi-storey car park to facilitate ongoing Airport growth.

  • Input to draft masterplan for the future development of the airport and adjoining land

  • Liaison with Local Planning Authorities and principal consultees
  • Review and advice on representations to Regional Spatial Strategy and emerging Local Development Framework
  • Preparation of Planning Statement to accompany planning application for first phase of Masterplan development
  • Secure enabling works through permitted development submissions

Results:

  • Draft Masterplan published with significant stakeholder support
  • Permission for 155 bed hotel at Airport terminal
  • Permission for multi-storey car parking to meet pressing passenger and staff needs
  • Implementation of works necessary to support ongoing growth of passenger services and cargo business
