Redevelopment and reclamation of former harbour on Edinburgh’s North Shore, including 3,400 residential units, 18,580 sq m (200,000 sq ft) commercial space and the creation of a major new marina and visitor centre.

Turley Associates’ Role:

• Preparation and submission of planning application
• Advice on planning strategy
• Lead consultant for Environmental Statement including detailed and co-ordinated scoping process
• Coordination of team of specialist consultants to ensure high quality presentation of ES and quick responses to information requests from Planning Authority
• Coordination of planning application process with LPA through to determination

Results:

• Planning permission secured - Phase 1 of the development is now underway
• Major physical, visual and economic improvements to Edinburgh’s North Shore
