Relocation of Anfield to provide a new 60,000 seater stadium for Liverpool Football Club acting as a catalyst for the regeneration of the Anfield/Breckfield area of the city.
Turley Associates’ Role:
- Co-ordination of multi-disciplinary professional team
- Identification and review of alternative sites
- Community consultation programme
- Liaison with Government Office, Sport England, English Heritage, Liverpool City Council and other statutory, amenity and community bodies
- Scoping and co-ordination of Environmental Statement
- Preparation of planning application, supporting information and studies, and associated planning negotiations
- Co-ordination of presentation to CABE design review committee
- Presentation of scheme to planning committee
- Lead negotiations with Liverpool City Council on S.106
- Liaison with Government Office to avoid call-in
- Co-ordination of information to discharge planning conditions
- Co-ordination of new planning application in July 2007 to reflect aspirations of new ownership
Results:
- Planning permission granted April 2006 and for revised scheme in June 2008
- All conditions on both applications discharged
