LEEDS TEACHING HOSPITALS TRUST

Provision of a new 65,000 sq m (699,654 sq ft) oncology hospital procured through a PFI project, to provide cancer treatment services for Leeds and its region. The biggest hospital of its kind in Europe.

  • Advice on planning strategy
  • Preparation of development and urban design briefs
  • Outline planning permission for public sector comparator (PSC) scheme
  • Advice to the Trust on planning process issues and the selection of a preferred bidder
  • Monitoring of preferred bidder’s reserved matters application

Results:

  • Outline planning permission obtained for PSC scheme
  • Preferred bidder selected
  • Reserved matters approved and development under construction
  • The hospital is due to open in December 2007
