NEWSOrdnance Survey to relocate to Southampton’s rural gateway
Turley Associates have secured outline planning consent (hybrid application) to develop the 32 hectare Adanac Park site on behalf of the Trustees of the Barker Mill Estate and the Ordnance Survey.
The proposals seek to deliver an innovative business park safeguarded for large scale users to create 4,000 new jobs and form a new enterprise gateway into Southampton. Furthermore this site will embrace the strong landscape setting to enhance it with the highest quality of new development, natural habitats and sustainable drainage system.
The Ordnance Survey will be the first business to take up residence on the site, relocating their headquarters to create a £40m cutting edge head office complex of 16,409 sq metres.
Turley Associates have led a multi-disciplinary team, prepared the master plan and design codes and then submitted the outline planning application supported by an environmental statement.
