The scheme provides an extension to the existing Arndale Shopping Centre which will secure the enhancement of Eastbourne town centre as a retail destination. It is envisaged that the additional retail element provided as part of this scheme will assist in clawing back retail expenditure which is currently leaking to surrounding centres such as Brighton and Royal Tunbridge Wells. The redevelopment of this area will also regenerate this specific part of the town in terms of its position as a gateway location; close to the town’s railway station.

Turley Associates worked closely with planning and urban design officers to ensure the client brief was met. We provided detailed planning, retail and heritage input and the application was unanimously approved by planning committee in August 2012.
