Through representations on behalf of the client and appearing at the public examination into the regional development strategy we have ensured that the key economic significance of the harbour estate is recognised in regional policy.
Through over 30 strategic and site specific objections to the draft Belfast Metropolitan Area Plan and coordinating the legal team and the team of experts at the public inquiry, we have a secured key agreement with the planning authority on a number of issues relating to economic and land use policy, environmental designations and transportation.
Success has been achieved on a number of key planning applications within the harbour estate, including the 2009 relocation of a major ferry terminal downstream.
We are retained on a number of planning applications within the harbour estate including proposed commercial developments and land reclamation projects.
We are coordinating a planning application with a masterplan, environmental assessment and transport assessment for a new city scale mixed use development of some 170,000 sq.m at Clarendon Dock - to be called City Quays.
