Preparation of a residential led scheme to create a sustainable extension to the north of Liskeard. The project involved co-ordinating a multidisciplinary team as planning consultant and masterplanner to prepare an outline planning application.

Size: A 21ha (52 acres) greenfield site with proposals to develop up to 525 new dwellings, local centre and open space.
Scale: Urban extension

This scheme involved close working with a team of expert consultants in order to deliver an outline application for a major greenfield urban extension for housing development. We held a central role as planning consultant, masterplanners, lead consultants for public consultation and as co-ordinators of the ES.

We prepared and defined the parameters for assessment. We also prepared specialist inputs on the need for, and alternatives to, the development, socio-economic effects as well as the non-technical summary and an overall co-ordination and editing role.

This project demonstrates the importance of central co-ordination in drawing together several complex and separate streams of work to deliver a robust application package on time and to the clients expectation.
