An assessment of key planning policy considerations was undertaken at each site to identify what constraints may arise. This included a review of potential key environmental considerations at each location (including special protection areas).
We also coordinated liaison with senior officers at Fife and East Lothian Councils to raise the prospect of projects coming forward to identify any critical project risks, and provided advice on stakeholder engagement in terms of progressing projects at the sites.
There was also consideration of the potential to install carbon capture and storage capacity at each of the locations which could have significant land use requirements and environmental benefits.
