Turley Associates announces eight appointments and nine promotions

Planning and urban design consultancy Turley Associates has strengthened its Birmingham team with four new appointments.

The new appointments are:

  • Steve Louth, Associate Director
  • Richard Halsey, Senior Sustainability Consultant
  • Damien Holdstock, Planner
  • Kathryn Young, Assistant Planner

Steve Louth joins the Birmingham office as Associate Director. Previously with BNP Paribas Real Estate, Steve is a chartered town planner with nine years experience in public and private sector roles. Over that time he has been involved in a wide range of sectors including residential, industrial, sport/leisure and energy.

Richard Halsey joined the Sustainability team as a Senior Sustainability Consultant. Richard was previously with White Young Green where he provided a wide range of sustainability services to planning applications and public inquiries.

Richard reports to Colin Morrison, Turley Associates’ Head of Sustainability, who said: “Richard is an excellent appointment. He has a first class understanding of the principles of sustainability, regulation, legislation and planning policy and is quickly proving to be a great asset to the firm and our clients.”

Damien Holdstock joins the Birmingham office as a Planner. Previously a consultant with AMEC Environment & Infrastructure UK (formerly Entec), he has five years experience in a variety of projects for public and private sector clients, including submitting and negotiating major planning applications for large scale mixed-use urban extension schemes.

Kathryn Young joins the Birmingham office as an Assistant Planner. Previously with Tewkesbury Borough Council, Kathryn is experienced in public consultation, housing land supply and viability assessment. She is currently working towards chartered RTPI membership.
